No, I don't copy other artist’s designs, but I can create a unique piece for you where we, to a certain extent, draw inspiration and elements from the reference picture.

Yes, I love making custom art, uniquely for you. That’s what I strive for. I’ll take all the inspiration you have found so I can fully understand your wishes, so it’s important you have an idea of what you’re looking for, such as what motive or theme. Meaning, would this be a koi fish, lettering, Greek mythology, color, black and gray etc.

I do need a general idea, theme or reference in order to know what direction to move in for your tattoo design. Please take some time to find your inspiration before you book your session with me.

If you do not have any ideas, you can look through my past work to find interesting themes to mine for inspiration. I do not make exact copies of my past work, but it can help you in your search for ideas.

In most cases you’ll see the design the day you’re coming in to get tattooed. I usually prepare ahead of time. Corrections and final adjustments can be implemented on the day together.

It’s very rare that the design we have come up with together doesn’t fit your taste. If it does happen, you would only be charged the preparation and time reservation, which will be covered by the deposit you have put down.

For big projects, for example a full art sleeve, leg sleeve or back, the artist will have a full day reserved, just for you. That’s what we call a session. The length of the day is not the deciding factor for the price. Focus on the craft itself, rather than the time.

The time it takes to complete a tattoo depends on a number of factors, including the size and complexity of the design, the placement on your body, and your pain tolerance. Smaller tattoos can take as little as an hour to complete, while larger tattoos may take several sessions to complete. I will be able to give you a more accurate estimate of the time it will take during your consultation, based on your specific tattoo.

Most people experience some discomfort when getting a tattoo. However, the level of pain can vary depending on the individual, the location of the tattoo and the size of the tattoo.

For a bigger tattoo, yes, it does hurt. Sensitive areas such as the ribs, inner wrist, and spine tend to be more painful, while areas with thicker skin such as the upper arm or back tend to be less painful.

A lot of people compare the feeling to a scratch, where others (mainly when getting smaller tattoos) say it’s more like a tickling sensation. It is very rare that a person can’t finish a session because of pain. If you want a tattoo, you should be willing to sit through a session, and I promise it’ll be worth it.

I do everything I can to make the experience as comfortable as possible, including taking breaks as needed.

In some cases I can offer numbing cream, but be aware that this is only used in some cases and might not be ideal for your piece. Numbing cream tends to change the texture of the skin, and depending on the techniques used for your piece, it could influence how the tattoo turns out.

All tattoos will fade to some extent over time, as the ink is absorbed into the body's natural healing process. However, the rate of fading can vary depending on a number of factors, including the quality of the ink, the skill of the artist, and the location of the tattoo on the body. Proper aftercare can also help to preserve the color and detail of your tattoo.

If it is a tattoo done by another artist and it has faded or in in need of minor or major adjustments, I can usually touch it up for you. So if you think your tattoo needs a touch up, reach out to me through the booking form and please include a picture of the tattoo.

If your tattoo was originally inked by me, and you think your tattoo needs a touch up, then you can reach out to me with a picture of the healed tattoo. This should happen within 6 months after getting your tattoo, so it’s fully healed, but still fairly new.

Tattoos can be removed, but the process can be expensive and time-consuming. There are several methods available for tattoo removal, including laser treatment, dermabrasion, and excision. It's important to carefully consider your decision to get a tattoo and make sure it's something you're prepared to commit to before getting inked.

Yes, I require customers to provide a valid form of identification, such as a driver's license or passport, in order to confirm your age and identity. You have to be over 18 years old to get a tattoo.

While my studio does not outright forbid bringing one guest with you, I really recommend that you come to your tattoo appointment alone and do not bring anyone else to the studio with you.

While having support from friends can be beneficial in many situations, based on my experience getting a tattoo is not one of those situations — it's best to avoid bringing anyone else to your tattoo appointment.

The tattoo studio is a professional setting that requires concentration, safety, and confidentiality. It is my experience that bringing friends can create unnecessary distractions and discomfort for everyone involved.

I generally do not recommended for customers to bring children with them to their tattoo appointment. The tattooing process can be intimidating and may not be suitable for children, and my studio does not have accommodations for children. It would be best for you to arrange for childcare or have someone else take care of your children while they are getting tattooed.

Pets or ESA animals are not allowed by law and only the client’s certified service dog is allowed to the facilities of tattoo studios. You’d need to be in control of the animal and he/she/they should behave.

Asking how much a tattoo costs flat out is no less different from asking a server, at a restaurant, 'how much is a meal?' You'd get a dead-pan look, waiting for more details to your preference... Would it be a Burger? Porterhouse? Short Rib? They All differ in Cost And Time to make. Asking 'how much for a tattoo' is no different. In the most simplist of terms. So it really helps to specify what you're after when inquiring.

Size and intricacy is a deciding factor. A big tattoo with a lot of details will often equal a higher price. Therefore, make sure you include all the details when you submit your idea, such as size, placement and tattoo style. I can provide a quote for your tattoo during your consultation / over email/msg/phone. My minimum fee is $500.

You should ideally be able to send reference pictures or illustrations. And remember, it’s okay to say no to a tattoo if the price doesn’t suit you. It doesn’t cost you anything to ask and collect information, so you’ll be ready for a future piece. Please see the info in the "What Does It Cost?" section for more information.

I take every precaution to ensure that my studio is a safe hygienic environment and I prioritize the safety and comfort of my clients. I follow strict hygiene protocols to protect your health and to prevent infection. All needles and parts that come into contact with your skin are disposable - I use fresh brand new needles for each client and session. I also use high-quality ink and follow industry best practices to ensure the best possible results.

No, it is not dangerous, but there is a small risk for infection in and around the tattoo within the first couple days. Most infections happen when the area has not been handled with the right aftercare. To prevent this, make sure you follow my aftercare instructions well.

• Please wear a black T-Shirt and pants/skirt/dress or bring some with you, so we can take a picture afterwards with a neutral background, that is what will look the best.
• That said, be sure that what you are wearing is also comfortable, loose clothing that allows easy access to the area you're getting tattooed. Bring shorts if you’re getting a leg tattoo or a dress/shirt that you can open or push to the side for a rib tattoo.
• Arrive at your tattoo appointment well hydrated.
• Get plenty of rest the night before, arrive well rested and not tired.
• Eat breakfast/a light meal and stay hydrated before your appointment to ensure that you have enough energy and are comfortable during the tattoo process.
• You may want to bring a snack, candy, soda, lunch or a drink to have during your tattoo session, as some sessions can take several hours. We have a fridge that you can put lunch in, and we’re placed on Melrose around a lot of cafes and restaurants.
• It’s a good idea to bring a phone charger and headset for your phone/tablet.
• Avoid consuming alcohol or smoking weed the day-night before your tattoo and in the morning of the day as these can increase your sensitivity to pain.
• If you have any medical conditions or are taking any medications that might affect your tattoo, be sure to let me know before your appointment.
• We’ll take care of the hygiene in the studio and for staff, but we expect that you come in clean for your appointment.
• Remember to bring the original reference pictures (digitally is fine), just in case this will be needed for the artist on the day. This makes it easier for you and artist to be on the same page.
• Know what you want. Know what size and pacement you want your tattoo on. Print out your sample design or mock up and measure it on yourself if you need a physical idea. Trust this very simple approach.
• You also want to know how long your tattoo session may take to prep your day accordingly. Have your body prepared by eating before hand, as well, trust me that it makes all the difference.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed. Bring shorts if you’re getting a leg tattoo or a dress/shirt that you can open or push to the side for a rib tattoo. It is also a good idea to wear clothing that you do not mind getting stained, as the ink and other materials used during the tattooing process may leave marks.

Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and hot tubs for at least two weeks before your tattoo appointment, as these can make the skin more sensitive and increase the risk of complications. Sun tans also make it harder to work with colour tattoos as it makes it harder to recognise the ink tones. Also avoid wearing tight or restrictive clothing on the area to be tattooed, as this can make the tattooing process more difficult.

Proper aftercare is crucial to ensure that your tattoo heals well and looks its best. Here are some general guidelines for caring for your tattoo:

• Keep the tattoo clean and dry for the first few days. Avoid soaking the tattoo or getting it wet, and avoid showering directly on the tattoo.
• Apply a thin layer of a water-based, fragrance-free lotion or ointment to the tattoo to keep it moisturized. Avoid using Vaseline or other petroleum-based products, as these can interfere with the healing process.
• Avoid exposure to water and harsh chemicals, such as chlorine and soap, for the first few days after getting tattooed.
• Do not submerge it in water as it could critically impact the healing process.
• Avoid exposing the tattoo to the sun or other sources of UV light for at least 4-6 weeks after getting it. Cover it with clothing. If you must be in the sun, use a high-SPF sunscreen to protect the tattoo.
• Keep your tattoo away from pets.
• Avoid picking at any scabs or peeling skin, as this can cause scarring or pigment loss.
• Seek medical attention if the tattoo becomes red, swollen, or painful, or if you experience any other concerning symptoms.
• Follow any specific aftercare instructions I have provided you with.
• I will usualy apply a film to your new tattoo to keep out dirt and bacteria while the tattoo is fresh. There are two types of film used for this – Cling film and specially developed adhesive films for tattoo/wound healing.
• Adhesive film: I recommend that you keep the film on for 3-4 days. If you bleed much or if there’s a lot of liquid under the film, you should take it off immediately to avoid infection. I recommend you only do this by applying lukewarm water on top of the film, to loosen the adhesive. Don’t just pull it off, as it could hurt your skin. After removing the film continue the process by using a tattoo moisturizer or balm.
• Cling film: I recommend that you keep clinging film on your fresh tattoo for the first three hours unless instructed otherwise. You can reapply the film for the first night, to keep out bacteria. However, it is important not to wrap it too tightly as the tattoo needs to breathe and you don’t want to be sweating on the tattooed area. After removing the film continue the process by using a tattoo moisturizer or blam.
• Tattoo moisturizer: Gently wash the tattooed area by dapping it with a wet paper towel or clean towel. Wash your hands and apply a very thin layer of moisturizer to the tattooed area. It is important not to use too much moisturizer as the tattoo needs to breathe. When using the correct amount, the moisturizer should almost not be visible after being smeared out on the area. Repeat this process 2-4 times daily
• For the next 7-10 days you should continue the same process of applying moisturizer, but only 1-3 times daily. You should also still keep the tattoo out of the sun and water.

Healing: A tattoo is fully healed after around 1 month, but especially the first two weeks are important for a good healing.

While your tattoo heals, you should:

• Wear sun-protective clothing whenever you go outside
• Call your tattoo artist or doctor if you experience any symptoms of nfection or other problems

You shouldn’t:

• Cover your tattoo with sunblock until it’s fully healed
• Scratch or pick at the tattoo
• Wear tight clothing over the tattoo
• Go into ocean or pools (showers are fine)

Allergic reactions are very rare, but can happen. This depends on the person, and if you’re already allergic to other things, the risk of being allergic to the ink could be a bit higher.

If you have allergies, you should consult with your doctor before getting a tattoo for the ultimate safety.

I use high-quality ink brands and follow proper sterilization techniques and disposable single use materials to minimize the risk of allergic reactions. Most of my ink brands are vegan.

If you are aware of being allergic to any colors you, let me know if we’re doing a colourful tattoo to avoid using the palette you’re allergic to.

Some medications, such as blood thinners or acne medications, can affect the healing process of a tattoo. If you're on medication, it's important to discuss this with me during your consultation. Similarly, if you have allergies or sensitivities to certain materials (such as latex or certain inks), it's important to let me know so that I can take precautions to ensure your safety.

Some health conditions, such as diabetes or a compromised immune system, may make it more difficult to heal from a tattoo. I recommend discussing your health concerns with me during your consultation to determine if it's safe for you to get a tattoo.

On a basic level, being on your menstrual period will not affect your tattoo, and a tattoo will not affect your period.

It's generally not recommended to get a tattoo while pregnant, as the risks of infection and other complications are higher during this time, for both you and your baby. If you're pregnant and considering getting a tattoo, it's important to talk to your doctor before making any decisions. I'd recommend to wait at least a few weeks after the baby is born.

It's generally possible to tattoo over scars or stretch marks, but the results can vary. The appearance of the tattoo may be affected by the texture and color of the scar tissue. It's important to discuss your scarring with me during your consultation to determine if tattooing is a good option for you.

If you have any skin condition such as eczema/psoriasis or similar, it's important to mention that to me before booking a tattoo and mandatory to get advised by your certified dermatologist.

A person with these conditions most times can get tattooed when they control the condition, the best bet is to stick to places where you don't usually get flare-ups.
